Year 5

• In the Spring term, both our indoor and outdoor PE slots will be on a Wednesday.

Our outdoor sessions will be Tennis and indoor will be gymnastics with Harry Sheader Sports School.

Children are required to come to school in their outdoor kit with their shorts underneath. This consists of a yellow t-shirt, black/blue joggers, black/blue shorts and a jumper/hoody to keep them warm, along with a pair of trainers. Please ensure that shorts are an appropriate length. Hair should be tied back and jewellery removed.

• School reading books must be in school every day. The expectation is that your child reads at least 3 times per week, with each read lasting 15 minutes or ten pages of their book. Their reading record will need signing by an adult each time they have read. The reading records will be checked every Friday and children will progress around our class reading boards according to how many reads they have achieved each week.
• Homework is handed out on a Thursday to be returned by the following Wednesday. Each week, children will receive homework sheets in a named pocket. If your child requires some support with parts of their homework, they are welcome to request this support from an adult within the year group prior to the date that it is due in.
• It is also important that your child continues to practice their times table recall through answering times table questions or playing times table games online.
