sAFEGUARDING
At Bay Primary School, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that everyone has the right to feel safe, secure and respected so they can flourish both emotionally and academically. Everyone shares a collective responsibility to ensure the highest standards of care and protection for our pupils. Our approach to safeguarding is rooted in our school’s family ethos and supported by our commitment to mental health and well-being. Through our use of the ‘My Happy Mind’ and tailored health and safety programme, we help children learn to develop resilience, self-awareness, and emotional regulation—empowering them to understand and manage their mental health from an early age. This plays a vital role in our early help offer and supports children in recognising when to ask for help and how to keep themselves safe.
